Recommended for ages 6 years and up
Set Up the Game: Give each player their own set of six ingredient pieces: 4 plastic pieces (tomato, pepper, shrimp, and beef steak), 2 soft, fabric pieces (cheese and bacon). Place the ingredient pieces in front of each player. Shuffle the order cards and place them face down in a deck at the center of the table.
Reveal an Order Card: The top order card is flipped face-up for everyone to see. Each card shows a specific combination of ingredients that must be assembled in the exact order from top to bottom on a skewer.
Assemble Your Skewer: As soon as the order card is revealed, all players race simultaneously to build their skewer using their ingredient pieces. You must stack the ingredients on your skewer stick in the correct order shown on the card. Be quick — accuracy and speed both matter!
Call Out “Kushi!”: The first player to finish their skewer shouts “Kushi!” to signal they’re done. The round pauses while everyone checks that player’s skewer.
Check the Order: If the skewer matches the order card perfectly, that player wins the round and takes the card as a point. If it’s incorrect, the player is out for that round, and the remaining players continue racing.
Win the Game: Continue revealing cards and racing to build skewers. The first player to collect 10 order cards (points) is declared the King or Queen of Kushi Express!
