Recommended for ages 8 years and up
Deal the Cards: Each player is dealt a hand of sushi cards (the number depends on how many players are in the game). The deck consists of various sushi cards, like nigiri, tempura, and sashimi, as well as special cards like chopsticks and wasabi.
Select a Card: Players simultaneously choose one card from their hand to keep and place it face-down in front of them. After choosing, they reveal the card.
Pass the Remaining Cards: After each player selects a card, they pass the remaining cards in their hand to the player on their left. This continues until all cards have been chosen.
Score the Cards: After each round (all cards are played), players score their sushi combinations based on the cards they kept. Different sushi dishes have different point values, and some cards (like the wasabi) modify how points are earned.
Repeat for Three Rounds: The game is played over three rounds, and after each round, players will score their sets of sushi dishes again. Cards are shuffled and re-dealt at the beginning of each round.
Total the Scores: After three rounds, the player with the most points wins!
